Sports & Fitness

The Fort Buchanan Fitness Center Bldg. 167 just reopened and is an air-conditioned 17,000 square foot facility that provides a variety of fitness, and recreational programs. The Fitness Center is accessible to patrons with disabilities.

Facility offerings:

  • Cardiovascular area with state-of-the-art exercise machines that include steppers, treadmills, elliptical and cycles
  • Complete line of user-friendly Nautilus weight machines for each individual muscle
  • Individual supervision and guidance for exercise routines are available
  • Micro-fit Evaluation
  • Sauna
  • Showers
  • Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis and Pickleball courts are available by reservations. 

The Fitness Center facilities are available only for Active-Duty Military and families, Veterans with 100% service connected, Retirees and families, Reserve, National Guard Components, and DOD Civilian Employees.

PFC Roberto E. Clemente Walker Annex

Clemente Walker Annex Building 170, is a brand new fully equipped exercise facility that includes an array of functional fitness exercise equipment, ranging from, Kettlebells, Battle Ropes, TRX, Medicine Balls, as well as a Hammer Strength Double Bridge, Power Racks, Rowers, non-motorized cardio equipment and much more.

We are committed to the physical fitness development and readiness of our soldiers and the Fort Buchanan Community!

Hours of operation:

24/7 facility, it is staffed from Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm. 

The use of the facility requires abiding by Garrisons guidance on the appropriate use of sanitation and maintaining 6 feet of social distance.

Monday to Thursday: 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Closed on Saturdays , Sundays, and Federal Holidays.

Group Fitness Programs

We offer high-quality fitness programs to help you stay healthy, limber, and strong. Our fitness experts and trainers can guide you through your workout and recommend individualized routines and group activities.

  • Golden Age Interactive Group: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9 a.m. Seasonal: (January to May & August to December). Join the fun, because ages is just a number! 
  • Hybrid Cycling Classes* at Bldg. 167: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.  
  • Back-2-Basics* at the PFC Annex: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 p.m. 
  • Cross Drills at the PFC Annex: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. 

*Classes are $30.00 for a month or $5.00 drop-in class.

Personal Training
  • Personal Training (PT) Sessions: $30.00 per individual session or $60.00 for (3) sessions.
  • Individual Physical Fitness Assessment and Exercise Guidance $15.00.

Reservation Procedure for Practice Sessions
  • Authorized ID card holders can make reservations for basketball, sand volleyball, tennis and racquetball courts. Requests must be made 24 hours in advance.
  • Reservations are for one hour unless approved by the Sports Specialist.
  • A reservation schedule will be maintained at the Fitness Center service counter. 
  • Reservations can be made by visiting the Fitness Center or by calling +1 (787) 707-3277

Scheduled events and games have priority over practice sessions.
