Sports & Fitness Schedule

Stay Active, Stay Strong — All Week Long!

Join the Fort Buchanan Sports & Fitness Program and keep your energy up with a variety of classes and open-court activities offered throughout the week! Whether you’re into strength training, basketball, cycling, swimming, or group workouts, there’s something for everyone.

All activities are designed to help you stay fit, have fun, and connect with our community.

Fitness Classes:

30-Minute Circuit
  • A fast-paced, time-efficient workout designed to fit perfectly into your lunch break. This hybrid circuit combines selectorized machines and free weights in timed stations to deliver a full-body workout in just 30 minutes.
  • Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Cost: $30 per month

 

Circuit Training Program
  • A high-energy, full-body workout focused on building strength, endurance, and overall conditioning through structured circuit stations. Participants rotate through exercises targeting different muscle groups.

  • Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Cost: $30 per month or $5 per drop-in class

 

Hybrid Cycling
  • A high-energy indoor cycling workout designed to improve endurance, stamina, and overall cardiovascular health.
  • Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM
  • Cost: $30 per month or $5 per drop-in class

 

Cross Drills
  • A full-body strength and conditioning class that focuses on agility, power, core strength, and endurance through dynamic, high-intensity functional movements.
  • Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Cost: $30 per month or $5 per drop-in class

 

Back-2-Basics
  • An introductory class designed to prepare participants for Cross Drills. This foundational session focuses on proper form, technique, basic movement patterns, and gradually building strength and confidence. Ideal for beginners.
  • Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
  • Cost: $30 per month or $5 per drop-in class

 

Golden Age Program
  • A low-impact class designed for older adults, focused on mobility, balance, flexibility, and maintaining overall physical well-being.
  • Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Cost: $30 per month or $5 per drop-in class

 

Intramural Sports:

Basketball Open Court
  • A designated open-gym period for recreational basketball where patrons can enjoy casual play, friendly games, or individual practice. Courts are first-come, first-served.
  • Monday & Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

 

Pickleball Open Court
  • A fast-growing paddle sport blending tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Open court sessions welcome all experience levels for friendly matches or personal skill development.
  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

 

Futsal Open Court
  • A dynamic indoor soccer-style game played on a hard court with a smaller, low-bounce ball. Great for improving agility, quick passing, and ball control. Open play is available to all skill levels.
  • Tuesday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

 

Tennis Open Court
  • Outdoor courts available for recreational tennis, including singles or doubles play. Perfect for practicing serves, drills, rallies, or enjoying friendly matches.
  • Tuesday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

 

Aquatics:

Lap Swimming
  • Reserved pool time dedicated exclusively to continuous lap swimming. Ideal for building endurance, improving technique, and providing a low-impact full-body workout.
  • Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

 

Water Aerobics
  • A low-impact aquatic workout that improves flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular health while reducing stress on joints. Suitable for all fitness levels and especially beneficial for beginners or those seeking a gentler workout.
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Cost: $12 (Drop-in), $40 (4 classes), or $75 (8 classes)

 

Stay active all week long with classes, workouts, and open-court activities offered by Fort Buchanan Sports & Fitness!

All sessions are open to authorized patrons and are subject to change.

These facilities are available for Active-Duty Military, Veterans with 100% service connected, Retirees, Reserve, National Guard Components, DOD Civilian Employees and and families with authorized IDs.
